Hi Thomas, I would recommend a Shimano Talavera Bluewater Ring Guide Slick Butt Rod. Specifically Model: TEBC66MHSBA; TD Code: SHM-4119. https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-tebc66mhsba-talavera-bluewater-ring-guide-slick-butt-rod.html This rod has the moderate action needed for trolling and light jigging offshore fishing applications. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.

Absolutely. I'd suggest looking into the 6'6" 20-50lb model.

I am interested in buying a rod to match my TLD 20 reel. I want to use the rod mostly for trolling plugs for King Mackerel with 20lb mono. I like the Shimano Tallus ring guided trolling rod but am unsure whether I should get the Fuji LR frame guides or the regular Alo guides?... And if 6:6 or 7:0 in length with MH would be my best option ?
1 Answer
The Shimano TLC70HSBBLA Tallus Trolling Slick Butt Ring Guided Rod would be the best fit fishing for king mackerel with 20 lb mono.
