Ordered the 6'9" MH thinking a 20-40lb rod would be a good 2nd-home to a surf reel for boat fishing.
This is not a 20-40lb rod. I have largemouth bass rods with more backbone.
Luckily, customer service was great at TD and I had no problem coordinating an exchange for the 6'9" H. Will see how that works for me.
The new Tallux PX is a very nice looking rod, and seems to be high quality.

Are these Tallus PX series the replacement of the Tallus Blue Water? I was hoping to go with the Tallus BW but doesnt seem you stock then. Im looking to catch Gag Grouper in 15-20ft of water. They are known to grab bait and go back into the rocks/structure. I have a Saragosa 10k and am looking for a spinning rod to turn the fishes head on their way back to their rocks. Any suggestions? I plan to use 65-80 lb braid with mono/fluoro.

Will this rod handle 100# class yellowfin? I'd prefer a terez bit can't seem to fi d a 8' heavy. Needs to be able to handle up to 20 of these fish a trip and we do one a week this time of year.
