Can the rod be used for saltwater fishing inshore, surf, pier?

Hi Jaime, The Shimano Stimula rods can be used for lighter inshore applications such as Fluke or Flounder. We recommend going with the 7ft medium or medium heavy for this application. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with!
