The Shimano SN2500FE Sienna FE Spinning Reel is made with m-compact body. The oscillation gear in this reel is closer to the rod. This increases the balanced feel. This reel has Propulsion Line Management system incorporated into it for longer casts and reduced backlash. This reel features Super Stopper II for instant anti-reverse with no backplay. The perfect reel for freshwater, and even inshore fishing.

Second one of these I bought primarily for guests on my boat or with my backup combo. Good price point and has not disappointed in performance.

Will this reel be good for tautog spooled with145 yards of 15LB powerpro braid? Also is 9lbs of drag enough for tautog?

1 Answer
If you are staying mostly inshore then this will work fine but if you are exceeding more than 30ft depths i would recommend a stronger and bigger reel. Light tackle pairing is a great set up to have and so much fun with tog! I would just recommend a secondary rod and reel for bigger fish and deeper water.
