This is an inexpensive rod, but it does not either look or fish like a cheap product. Good rod for the money. I use it for jigging 1 1/2 to 2 oz lures, and it is perfect for that. I canot comment on its casting qualities.

I mainly use it for porgies and flounder, very good action and backbone for such an inexpensive rod. Shimano all the way ;-)

The description says "spinning", the picture shows a spinning rod yet the descriptive table says "casting". I just want to confirm that the description and photo are correct and the descriptive table is wrong, before I order. Thanks. -BMcD
