good reel for the money, cast very far with the right set up of rod and braided line, strong enough to handle big stripers and hybrids in strong current, i plan to get one more of this reel in the future
Cons
- i make sure that the roller on the bail catches the line when im retrieving, if it doesnt the line would be loose on the spool and this would create bird nest when cast again

I have the smallest reel of this particular brand and use it for ultralight fishing on the Chesapeake. Great retrieve, can cast a mile and have had no issues with birds nest or line tangling. No hint of corrosion anywhere.

this reel is one of the best reels i bought in a while. it has the power to pull the big ones out the cover and the drag is really smooth for finnesse fishing with light line. it is also very well priced and wont break your wallet.

the saros 2500 is powerful and smooth it is also ugradable for 3 bearing : the knob 2 bb, rear worm gear 1bb. but the 3000 and 4000 sizes cannot be upgrade on the handle

- drag clicker is weak, needed to upgrade clicker spring.

The lock button on this rod is located on the under side of the reel just behind the bale. It is a small switch that is recessed into the body of the reel. Please feel free to contact us if you have any more questions!
