I'm very impressed with the ugly stick been using them for a while now. Got tired of breaking the tips off my rod when I hook a big fish. It gets real ugly when I show up to fishing tournaments with my buddies with my Ugly Sticks.

I would categorize this pole as a good strong rod best suited for applications where sensitivity isn't paramount. I like using it for topwater and cranking. The grip is a little beefy but not terrible. Aesthetics are great and I like the portability of 2 pieces. The 1 piece may be more sensitive. Overall i'm very pleased.

Looking for a Ugly Stick casting rod with a pistol grip (5.5-6.5 ft.). The small picture #1 shows exactly what I am looking for. When I click on the small picture, it goes to the
item page and the image (#2) changes to a casting rod with the rod blank extending several inches to the end rather than ending at a pistol butt. Does Shakespeare even
make a real pistol grip Ugly Stick any more?
Any options / suggestions?
