it's a bargain for a locally made rod. I know I know its not the same seeker it was 5 years ago. but its an American made rod, looks good, works good. I'm happy I bought it. I'll grab another one for a spinning tuna setup in the next year. this one I just got has an mxj avet on it and its dope.
Pros
  • looks, reel seat, build quality, taper

East Coast guy here. I want to know which pole to buy? I fish for Speckled Trout. Use braided line 10lb test. Soft plastic (1/4-3/8) and hard plastice (mirror lures) most fish 5-10 lb range. Like 7' poles, that can take the riggers of winter fishing. Seeker poles are unheard of here on the east coast.

Cliff your choice would be a great rod, But for the money i would recommend the St Croix Tidemaster Inshore SCR-0869 Medium Light fast action 8-14lbs line weight 1/8 to 1/2 lure weight, this will be a perfect rod for soft and hard plastics and top water mirror-lures.
