The Seeker Hercules Jigging Rods are deep water jigging rods, built on "S" glass composite blanks. The Hercules Series Rods are built for light weight and strength to meet the exacting requirements set forth by rod builder Billy Vivona.

These extreme duty rods feature the slow action required for deep water jigging and the latest American Tackle "Virtus" Ring Lock, solid titanium frame guides that are 60% lighter than stainless steel, better protect the incredibly strong nanolite rings and eliminate corrosion.

Seeker SHS-60XH vs old Seeker SHS-60H
January 9, 2019
One of my favorite outfit is the old red Seeker 60H Hercules paired with a Accurate Boss Bx500. I've caught a lot of grouper, snapper, etc. Even works great for grouper trolling. I have 65lb braid on it.

I thought I would go up a notch in line class. I decided to get the 60XH to go with my new Valiant 600P to fish 80lb. These two pair nicely.

There is a lot of negative things said since Seeker changed ownership. I decided to take a chance and I am glad I did. I think the new version of the rod is a lot nicer. The old Hercules had American Tackle guides, and I think the new one with fuji is much better. The reel seat on the old model is graphite and the new one has an aluminum seat. The foam butt is a little thicker which is nice if you are doing a lot of running with your rod in the rod holder. I think the quality on the new one is better.

This is a great all around rod. Works great with circle hooks, trolling, jigging, flat lining, etc.

What's the weight of the Seeker Hercules 7' conv. 30-60 lbs rod in oz? If it's not listed, can you weigh it in store?
1 Answer
Hello Pete. Unfortunately Seeker does not list their rod weights, and we do not have one in stock for me to weigh. Keep an eye on the site for them to be restocked and please feel free to give one of our product specialists a call when that happens and we will be more than happy to get you those specs!
