If you want more rod storage along your gunwales, this is the product for you. Instead of holding your rods straight up and down like all of our other rod holders, these hold them horizontally. The 4 1/2" SeaSuckers mount them securely on your side walls, gunwalaes or even on the inside of your SUV. A rubber insert holds multiple rods criss-crossed between the units, topped off with a solid velcro-backed strap to keep everything in place. Sold in pairs.

Very happy with these. Use them to store rods on the sides inside my buddy. Stay put even when loaded up and running hard. Will be buying more.

Bought two sets to store rods on the cabin walls and avoid drilling. Mounted nicely and held for one day. Returned to the dock and found all the rods fell onto the cabin bunks as the suction cups released. All four suction cups released which seemed strange although there was a significant temperature drop overnight which caused the release. This is just unacceptable considering someone may be sleeping in the cabin and rod damage as well. The exact same issue, on the same day, happened to a dive ladder mount with 2 four inch mounts I had on the transom. The ladder was floating next to the boat with the cups attached. All are being returned and replaced with hard mounts.

How tall are the rod holders? Do you think this would fit along the side of a 17 boston whaler? I am questioning whether or not I have the size to fit this on my boat.

Hello Joe. These are 9.5 inches tall. They will fit in your boat perfectly.
