I love Seaguar Blue Label Big Game Fluorocarbon Leader - 150lb for the construction of wind-on planer bridle leader. The stiffness of the leader makes the removal of the planer less difficult.

Abrasion resistance and bigger diameter compared to the same strength rated (and often less expensive) Seaguar Premier Fluorocarbon. Because it has less stretch and suppleness one makes adjustments by selecting rods with softer tips and via the reel drag setting. Nevertheless it gets the job done when fishing for 200lb plus yellowfin tuna. The abrasion resistance becomes even more important with bluefin as they can make unpredictable runs and try to create opportunities to chew through the line.
