Incredible impact and abrasion resistance. Fast sinking. Superior tensile and knot strength. The original FC (Blue Lable) Seaguar 100% fluorocarbon leader material allows you to use a smaller test leader than comparable nylons or fluorocarbons for unmatched bait presentations. No wonder it's preferred by anglers the world over.

The fix for finicky fish.
August 14, 2022
Excellent fluorocarbon for finicky fish. It’s soft and pliable and allows baits to swim naturally. Definitely get more bites with the yellow label.
Pros
  • Virtually invisible and very pliable. Allows natural baits to swim freely and get bit more often.
Cons
  • Not as abrasion resistant as the blue label.

Seaguar is the tried-and-true leader for most anglers I have fished with. It disappears in the water, the abrasion resistance is amazing, the stretch is minimal but fair.
Pros
  • Minimal stretching
  • Very low memory, stays straight for many trips
  • Abrasion resistance is amazing!!!
Cons
  • None

Great product

Seaguar fluorocarbon is great here in SOCAL for tuna fishing. The 30 pound diameter is thicker than yo-zuri 30 pound but smaller than AFTCO 30 pound so if you are looking for a good middle ground on leader line in this line class then Seaguar is the way to go. This one is only in the 25Y spool but I typically buy the 100Y spool as fluorocarbon is practically a must have here in San Diego when out on the water.
