Unlike round points cut on a lathe, the tip of the point will not lay over if a bone is struck while gaffing a fish. Gaff handles are made from highly-polished aluminum. Features functional and desirable grips, the same used on professional exercise machines. Designed to offer maximum holding power with wet hands. Gaffs that are above 4' have two hand grips.

It's a large gaff, Light and big enough for some serious fish. This was purchased to replace a lesser quality gaff that rusted (even though it was stainless) and this one has held up to living on the boat for a while now. No rust or corrosion, is light weight, and includes a guard for the tip of the point. I've only used it a handful of times, but it has done it's job each time.
