The Sea Striker Sea Bird is an excellent teaser to use in front of a primary lure. Birds are effective teasers when used individually or in a daisy chain. Features teddy bear eyes and an epoxy finish. The end connections are made from stainless steel wire and welded for superior strength.

Good yet very small for a bird...

I honestly thought it would be bigger. The bird itself would is good but it will not carry a good teaser action for your big skirts.
Pros
  • Very affordable price
Cons
  • Very small bird.

Adds alittle action to your trolling spread. I use these for spanish trolling, and also offshore with ballyhoo for mahi.

Easy and effective.

Excellent swimming action - I used it 6-8 knots.
Easy to deploy with existing gear - will recommend for short/long corner and shotgun positions.

The loops at the beak and tail-end for attachments: Are they made of stainless steel and does the steel wire go right through the bird. I need to determine if it will be strong enough if rigged as part of a 300lb leader setup to the lure ?

This bird is not through wired.
