I have been using Bulbhead squid as a floating lure in the shotgun position for stripers in the rips. Sea Striker makes the colors I like and the price is good. This will last for numerous strikes until the bluefish start tearing off the 'tentacles'.

Thought It was lame

Thought it was lame when I first got it. Then I stuck a 4OZ elongated jig weight inside of it. Now one of my fav lures for casting in surf in Savannah. Stripper crusher.

I have always liked Sea Striker products, they tend to be basic and effective. The Bulbhead Squid are no different, I just rigged them on a spreader bar set up as a teaser a couple of days ago and they've already brought fish into the spread including yellowfin, sailfish, and mahi.
Pros
- As effective in Samoa as in North Carolina. Reasonably priced! Basic design and color options catch the fish.
Cons
- None.
