This spike is built to last. It's light and not too long. I wish you could fold the metal part. I use it to keep my rod and reel clean from the sand.

This sand spike works. Just what you need. Not too big, and folds back on itself to make storage a little easier.

I don't bait fish. I use the spike to hold up a rod when I am carrying two rods. Serves that purpose perfectly.

What are the dimensions from top of holder to bottom of stake? How many inches will the rod handle drop into the holder before it stops? Thank you!
1 Answer
Hello Chris, The length from the top of the holder down to the bottom of the spikes length is 28 inches. As far as your second question it depends how far down the spike is driven into the sand and how long the bottom section of the rod is. Ideally the reel arm that connects to the rod will rest at the end of the tube.

Does the rod goes all the way down the tube? or it has a holder? what is the diameter of the tube? Thank you.
1 Answer
The end of the rod will sit on the bolt that connects the metal spike to the pvc pipe. Internal diameter will fit most surf rods.
