Scotty and Ram are kind of the Ford and Chevy of kayak rigging - since track mounts arrived ten years ago, I've rigged with Scotty, while my buddy has stuck with Ram. If you want a trolling rod or two behind you and don't want to cut your boat, a rocket launcher in in a scotty base in tracks work great. It drains and has a built in gimbal.
