The Scotty Rocket Launcher Rod Holder is a fully adjustable rod holder with over 9'' of composite construction, accommodating all rods. Attaches to any Scotty Downrigger Boom.

The stainless steel 471 Rocket Launcher includes a No. 244L Locking Flush Deck Mount. To use the new Scotty "lock-down" mount system simply choose the best
direction to fish from and insert the rod holder or accessory, pushing the post straight down into the mount.

Scotty and Ram are kind of the Ford and Chevy of kayak rigging - since track mounts arrived ten years ago, I've rigged with Scotty, while my buddy has stuck with Ram. If you want a trolling rod or two behind you and don't want to cut your boat, a rocket launcher in in a scotty base in tracks work great. It drains and has a built in gimbal.
