Use these on a few of my boats and always happy with them. The fancy metal rust but these look good year after year

These work absolutely great with your round baitcasters, and my two have been in service 11 years. They work great with the old Lew's BB series reels, like my old BB-25SW, and with old style round Abu's. You can seat your round baitcaster all the way to the back, and lock it into the holder with the strap. Safely out of sight and mind. You can also use it on your spinning rod - rigging the strap beneath will lock a spinning rod by the reel foot. But if you try to seat your low profile baitcaster deep in the holder, the rod sits at an acute angle in the holder, isn't stable, and won't lock. You can, however close the strap and use it like a rocket launcher without locking the low profile baitcaster. Scotty needs to redesign this holder to make it deep-seat and lock a low profile baitcaster. This is very nice in that it accommodates spinning reels without turning the reel to the side or upside down etc.
