just the right length

Scotty makes a longer extension, and also offers the longer extension with the gear head, which is kind of a cool attachment. I ended up finding that one too long to be of great use, and finally took some stainless washers and bolted it to a milk crate for a permanent rod holder on the milk crate. This one is a great length. It's just right for long rods with long handles to let you seat the rod in the holder and keep the rod butt from bump-stopping on your gunwhale.
