I love using the savage bluegill as bait. It’s perfectly heavy so you can launch it far without a problem and it swims like real fish as long as you reel in steady. The only negative I have about it is that it sinks slower than I like and it comes to the surface too quickly when it being reeled in. Overall though it works great and it’s my favorite bait that I own!

- Swims like a real fish.
- Perfectly heavy and can be casted out 50ft or more.
Cons
- Sinks slower than I like. (Took 11 seconds to sink from 3ft to the bottom)

Price is right in for this bait. Really good swimming action at most speeds. To slow no action to fast it'll be skipping on the surface, but might still get bit. Looks awesome when twitched. Good hooks. You will want to have some mend it or other glue. I use only the top hook to keep from gill hooking bigger bass.

- It will tear up from casting/catching eventually, but...
