Savage Gear 3D Bluegill Lures are soft plastic swimbaits designed using 3D scans of live bluegill. Savage Gear makes these lures using a nylon mesh interior throughout the lure, giving them remarkable durability in comparison to other soft plastic swimbaits. They are made with two "joints" integrated into the design that give the lure an extremely lifelike swimming pattern. 5in models of these baits features two fixed hooks and 6in models feature a line thru hook system. These baits are perfect for targeting big bass, essox, and stripers.

Great product! Works well! Best lifelike bait out there!
June 21, 2020
I love using the savage bluegill as bait. Its perfectly heavy so you can launch it far without a problem and it swims like real fish as long as you reel in steady. The only negative I have about it is that it sinks slower than I like and it comes to the surface too quickly when it being reeled in. Overall though it works great and its my favorite bait that I own!
Pros
  • Swims like a real fish.
  • Perfectly heavy and can be casted out 50ft or more.
Cons
  • Sinks slower than I like. (Took 11 seconds to sink from 3ft to the bottom)

Good enough

Price is right in for this bait. Really good swimming action at most speeds. To slow no action to fast it'll be skipping on the surface, but might still get bit. Looks awesome when twitched. Good hooks. You will want to have some mend it or other glue. I use only the top hook to keep from gill hooking bigger bass.
Pros
  • Almost everything. Quality bites.
Cons
  • It will tear up from casting/catching eventually, but...
