Savage Gear 3D Swim Squids are based on the scan of an actual squid, as lifelike as it gets. The profile and action empowers anglers with the ultimate fish catching machine. These squids can be casted and retrieved, slow jigged or trolled. Featuring a unique 2 part design, allowing the angler to add scent or squid meat inside or change rigging as needed. The body fins pulse and the tentacles vibrate as the lure moves through the water making it the ideal squid imitation.

  • 3D scanned details
  • Two part design for multiple rigging options
  • Ultra lively action
  • Durable TPE construction

Love using these.
January 16, 2022
Bought the 3 5/8 & 4 7/8. I use them about half a mile out and where I fish its 3 to 9 feet deep. These never disappoint. Being plastic means they get destroyed easy, however I have reordered replacements due to the fun I have using these.
Pros
  • Lifelike swimming action.
  • When fish don't want fish looking lures, these work.
Cons
  • Plastic and easily destroyed, as expected and no surprise.

Maybe a Little Too Realistic
December 13, 2021
This squid jig looks like the real deal! So much so that on the first cast it immediately drew the attention of the young harbor seal that’s been hanging around the pier I fish off. He followed it all the way in with his nose about 3 inches away! I was just praying he wouldn’t take it and end up spooling me. Sadly, I had to put the jig away as I didn’t want to push my luck. But, I’m looking forward to my next opportunity to try it out, as I believe it could be very effective, I’m currently targeting blackmouth, but this jig would work well for white seabass, halibut, tuna, yellowtail, or anything else out their that includes squid as a part of their regular diet.
Pros
  • Very realistic
Cons
  • Very realistic

Good swim bait alternative
February 21, 2021
This is a good alternative swim bait if you want to try on. It has floppy head fin section when reel in it will mimic the squid swimming action. And the tentacles also have a lively movement. I have used it and caught some unexpected fish with it. Wish they offer a medium weight squid like 1 oz to 2 oz.

Caught a ton of schoolie dolphin casting these into the schools behind the boat. Smaller ones work well for this

Good overall jig

Smashed about a 20lb bull dolphin in the keys with this jig last year, solid jigs holds up well, the material does stretch and get worn pretty quickly

cool lure

Nice material, stretchy and durable, but takes some technique to fish. Haven't gotten into any good bites yet but I'm sure it will work great in a good bite.

Great swimming action

Only problem is bluefish love them. bought two of them and within 10 minutes of each other they got bit in half. Tried superglue to fix one while fishing but no go. They do work great but even after you have brought the fish in, their thrashing around with this in their alligator jaws just does so much damage to the lure that its almost impossible to use again.
