I make corn hole boards. This graphic, without fail, was the easiest to apply because of the way it is manufactured.. 3 layered graphic. Back: peel it off, exposing the adhesive to the graphic. Middle layer: The graphic itself. Front layer: Used for positioning the graphic to whatever surface you will apply it to. CAUTION: After removing the back side of the graphic, DO NOT allow it to touch any surface but the one you intend to apply it to. It is VERY sticky and you could possibly ruin the location you're applying it to, AND totally mess up the graphic. Once you have positioned the graphic, apply it slowly to the surface. My method: Take the sides of the graphic and allow it to bend in the middle. Lower it to the surface (or push it toward the vertical surface you're adhering to. SLOWLY allow the center area to touch the surface, the move your hands closer to the application surface and allow the graphic to gently touch the the surface a little at a time. This allows the graphic to adhere as it should AND causes as few problems (bubbles / creases ... whatever) to occur. I have a rubber roller which I use to press the graphic firmly to it's surface. If you DO get bubbles ... you can use a straight pin to GENTLY prick the center of the bubble then squish the air out of it. This graphic is extremely well designed and represents the Salt Life logo as it should be. PERFECT !
Pros
- The way the graphic is designed to be applied. 3 layers: back / graphic / front. Allows for easy positioning of the logo.
Cons
- The graphic will come in a clear tube. I suggest before application to a surface that you open the tube, and roll the graphic out FLAT. I use a cardboard box (flattened) and lay the graphic inside that with a weight on top. It protects the graphic and in a matter of hours (depending on temperature and humidity) the graphic will be flat enough to handle easily and correctly. The ONLY con is just that ... the graphic is curled when you receive it. Not a huge obstacle to overcome. Shipping it FLAT would be almost prohibitive and considerably more costly. And even THAT would not insure the graphic did not sustain damage in transit.
