Are the rattles a plus?
May 9, 2021
Speaking from a fresh water perspective, the rattles didn't make a big difference in quantity of fish caught. But I'm sure when conditions are met, the rattles will be a great arsenal. From my experience fishing different water clarity and current, non rattling bucktails still performed at the same level.

Where exactly is the rattle?  Is it inside the jig head so that it cannot be seen? Or is it attached to the hook that could interfere with putting on a Gulp Alive soft bait and possibly be pulled off.

Can you please be very specific?  If memory serves me correctly, the rattle was attached to the hook or base of the jig head and was exposed and I have had them pulled off in the past.

1 Answer
The rattle is attached to the jig head right under were the buck tail is tied on.  You cannot see it in the pictures but it is attached right where the hook comes from the jig head. It can be pulled off over multiple uses, however is overall a durable attachment and the rattle is noticeable.
