The Whopper Plopper 90 is the little brother of the River2Sea larger versions; but don't let its little package fool you, this bait has a serious little man's complex. Built with the same durable construction as the rest of the line with Xtra Strong components including hook hangers, wires, and X-Strong size 4 treble hooks. This smaller version is made tough to battle bigger foes. The Whopper Plopper 90 relies a lot more on quickness, with a unique sound more reminiscent of a buzz saw, it's tailor made for topwater fishing in high pressure situations and when the forage base is smaller.

Whopper Plopper 110
February 8, 2018
What can I say. I'm a buzzbait addict. I'll throw one any time the water is above 60 degrees.
The Whopper Plopper, while technically not a buzzbait, is the lure I throw when they're short striking or swirling on a buzzbait. Throw it out past the strikezone, crank it a few feet, and let it sit right on top of the target, crank it again, and they'll kill it. Drives the fish nuts. I had 3 fish over 6 pounds this past season on a Monkey Butt and a Terminator.
Can't wait until Spring.
Pros
  • Great action
  • Durable
  • Gets the bites
Cons
  • Need one in a Natural bream color.

Top quality topwater!
December 17, 2021
I bought four Whopper Plopper lures in two sizes, and three different colors.
After seeing a lot of Youtube videos featuring the lures I wanted to give them a try.
They are of decent construction, and should last through a good number of "toothy" strikes.
The action is very similar to a paddlefoot frog lure. Frogs are great, but Musky and Northern strikes turn them into amputees too quickly. These lures are sturdy enough to last long enough to pay for themselves.
Pros
  • Great topwater action.
Cons
  • Made in China, with a high price tag.

Whopper Plopper 130 and 190
November 22, 2021
I through the 190's for musky and pike, and if you haven't tried it yet, I can recommend it enough! The top water takes are incredible! The 130's are for pike, I can't speak to how the work on bass, since I don't fish for them. The hooks are some of the best that I have seen come on a lure.

Great top water lure
November 21, 2021
I needed this lure for conditions that call for the white color and this whopper plopped is perfect. Right out of the box its ready to go. It sure does call the bass up to the surface. I always keep several ploppers in the box.
Pros
  • Casts like rocket, has very sharp hooks and creates lots of noise.
Cons
  • None

Great Bait
November 11, 2021
This is an excellent top water lure. The first time I use it at a local pond I landed three bass in 40 minutes. The hooks are good quality and very sharp. The bluegill pattern apparently worked quite well. It allows you to quickly cover lot of water because it casts a mile.

October 8, 2021
I have different size of whopper plopper, the 75 size gets lots of good feedback and I just want to give it a try as well.
It is awesome as other size, the 75 is tiny but not just catch tiny fish.

Awesome topwater lure and easy to use
October 8, 2021
An awesome topwater lure, even the kid can use it easily to catch fish instead walking the dog, though it is still one of my favorites.
The hooks are also strong.

What is the difference between a saltwater and a fresh water whopper flopper? Are they available in as many colors and sizes?

We have the River 2 Sea lures under our freshwater section. The larger lures ( 5in - 7 in) can be used in saltwater.
