Offering a bite-sized version of a perennial favorite, River2Sea brings the Whopper Plopper 75 to the Larry Dahlberg designed line of Whopper Plopper topwater lures. Just as the other sizes, the 75 is designed with a durable rotating tail that spits and throws water as it is buzzed across the surface. Don't let it's small size fool you however, the Whopper Plopper 75 has a serious little man's complex. It’s built with the same bomb-proof construction as the rest of the line with it's X-Strong Trebles, hook hangers, and wire. Weighing it at just over ½ oz, this smaller size of the Whopper Plopper can be thrown on a wide variety of rod set-ups and won't fail to get you the same quality bites the entire Whopper Plopper line is known for producing.
The Whopper Plopper, while technically not a buzzbait, is the lure I throw when they're short striking or swirling on a buzzbait. Throw it out past the strikezone, crank it a few feet, and let it sit right on top of the target, crank it again, and they'll kill it. Drives the fish nuts. I had 3 fish over 6 pounds this past season on a Monkey Butt and a Terminator.
Can't wait until Spring.
- Great action
- Durable
- Gets the bites
- Need one in a Natural bream color.
- Bass love it.
- None
- Good surface action - well made lure
- Expensive
- Good movement generated by the lure's design.
- a little pricey
After seeing a lot of Youtube videos featuring the lures I wanted to give them a try.
They are of decent construction, and should last through a good number of "toothy" strikes.
The action is very similar to a paddlefoot frog lure. Frogs are great, but Musky and Northern strikes turn them into amputees too quickly. These lures are sturdy enough to last long enough to pay for themselves.
- Great topwater action.
- Made in China, with a high price tag.
- Easy, anyone can slam. Cast a mile
- heartbreaking to lose...stay away from branches
- Casts like rocket, has very sharp hooks and creates lots of noise.

It is awesome as other size, the 75 is tiny but not just catch tiny fish.
The hooks are also strong.
