This exceptional leader and tippet material is made from 100% fluorocarbon (PVDF) this is not a nylon. The refractory index of Fluoroflex in water compared to nylon makes it almost invisible to fish. Fluoroflex sinks quicker than nylon for nymphs and wet flies û and gets below the surface tension for dry fly fishing. Highly abrasion-resistant and impervious to ultraviolet light, fluorocarbon is slightly stiffer than Powerflex tippet material and will deliver the fly even in a heavy wind. The best use of Fluoroflex is for saltwater, clear freshwater lakes, and leader-shy freshwater or saltwater fish.
