The Rebel P66Z Super Pop-R topwater chugger/popper features the company’s G-Finish decoration application, which produces light reflections that more-accurately mirror those of a real baitfish. Premium components include XCalibur Tx3 rotating hooks (the back dressed with flash and mylar), a big, 3D eye and lifelike details. When you're out in the middle of the lake it's not the time to go through your excess tackle and determine you don't have the right lure. So ordering two of each lures helps.
Pros
  • Having the right poper surface lure allows you to fish thick brush on the surface and pull out the nice bass hitting the weeds.
Cons
  • Being on the boat in the middle of the lake and your buddy saying we're not leaving till I catch one. So having an extra lure to give to him so he can catch a fish and we can leave the lake.

My favorite bass fishing style at my local lake is popper fishing from my kayak. I like a nicely weighted popper that I can be really aggressive with in order to entice a bite. This popper has great action, color and design.

Great popper style bait. Favorite colors are Baby Bass and Silver Minnow w/Blue back. Good around cover for post spawn bass, and later in the summer when the water warms up.

  • Good consistent action. Good quality for the price.

  • Hooks could be a little bigger, but might affect the action?
