My number one pick
December 29, 2019
It doesn’t matter where I’m fishing at, this lure always works for me. When I throw everything in my tackle box and I cannot get a bite, I throw the rebel frog and boom 🔥🔥🔥. 100 percent my number one pick.
Pros
  • It works in almost every where I go.
Cons
  • The hooks needs to be improved

I have been throwing these in a variety of ponds, lakes, and rivers for around 25 years. The dark green bullfrog version is one of two lures that I make sure is stocked in each of my main tackle boxes. I have caught all varieties of game, and panfish over the years on these, and had a few people ask about them after seeing them in action. Any angler who doesn't already use these needs to change that ASAP!
Pros
  • The floating aspect makes them great for throwing in even the shallowest water, but a little faster retrieval will allow them to dive just a bit without adding any extra weights.
Cons
  • The only cons I can think of are the fact that they aren't weedless, which I can certainly work around with more precise casting when needed, and that they can be difficult to find in stores, at least in my area.
