We have a home in the Azores and I was trolling for Tuna with my Azorean friend ..the lure that was hit most often that day was the Rapala X-Rap 40...Silver Blue Mackerel. We changed out the double hooks to a larger size because in the past these big fish bend open the stock hooks that come with the lures. Within an hour I pulled in a 187 lb Tuna...It was the best performing lure all day repeatedly being hit....needless to say I will be ordering some upon getting back to the US for this winter Bahama's sailing !

Great lure with excellent action! just wish the finish would be more durable. The forward treble hook swings back and forth due to the wild action of the lure and rubs the finish off on each side in the swing radius of the hook. Its a shame because the new finish is vivid but is quickly scratched on the first use.

Bait looks like others I have purchased. I trolled just to make sure I had the right swivel/leader combination for when we head to the keys. Good action and quality.

Rapala X-Rap magnum run true right out of the box. I've caught several grouper on it and still perfect.

These are incredible edible lol saltwater grade lures, but have freshwater applications as well! Will use for stripers/blues on the east coast and troll for walleye and muskie here in the upper great lakes:) I may go bankrupt on account of rapala, but I'll sure have fun doing it! Tight Lines Y'all!
