Taking the original X-Rap formula and refining it to be successful in saltwater fisheries up and down the coast, the Rapala X-Rap Saltwater series of lures has a place in any inshore angler's arsenal. Built to have the same versatility as the freshwater versions, the X-Rap Saltwater lures function well with a variety of techniques. When casting, these lures can either be aggressively ripped and jerked for an erratic slashing action or steadily retrieved at a wide range of speeds. An internal long-cast system greatly aids in casting distance, allowing large amounts of water to be covered at whatever cadence the angler desires. Boaters can deploy the classic Rapala "wounded minnow" action by trolling the X-Rap Salwater at a variety of speeds and depths. These baits come with VMC 3X Perma Steel treble hooks to handle big fish and resist corrosion, and as always are hand-tuned and tank-tested for premium performance right out of the box.

- For its size in this model there is only glass minnow and red on white to compete with. Would highly recommend to a angler of any ability. Whether you using a straight retrieve technique or pop wait and real. This lure produces

- Unfortunately with this line of lures the hooks are made with subpar material. So after a month or so of solid use I would recommend swapping them out with a set of stainless steel trebles.

I love these in all sizes. However I have realized different Enviormental conditions dictate which of these works better. Whether you are using a glass minnow color in inconsistent sunshine or a glass ghost when its bright. If a fish is hungry your going to get slammed.

- Works great in bright light conditions, would recommend picking up different colors and sizes for best success.
Cons
- Works great in bright sunny conditions. My only real complaint with these is that the hooks rust out super quick so its worth picking up some stainless steel trebles when these standard eventually fail
