This "banana-style" Rapala lure swims with a pronounced "wide-tail" style without sacrificing that classic Rapala action. Balsa wood with an internal rattle system, the Tail Dancer features VMC black nickel treble hooks for quick piercing sharpness and the strength to withstand the fiercest battles. Hand-tuned and tank-tested, each lure swims perfect right out of the box. Using a stop and go technique the Tail Dancer will actually backup, simulating bait riding the currents present in all water.
  • Balsa Construction
  • Wide Tail Swimming Action
  • Internal Rattle Mechanism
  • VMC Black Nickel Hooks

Great walleye trolling lure

Like with most cases of walleye trolling the best results I get with slow speed and light line (preferably thin braid)

Top Notch Trolling lure
December 18, 2014
I really only troll this lure but it works pretty well on the troll, I've had all kinds of fish hit it, last time striper fishing a large cat fish nailed it. Best part are the TDD11s, great deep divers with a smaller profile.
Pros
  • run true out of box, good hooks

Classic Trout Tricker.

One of my favourite Trout Trolling lures, I use the perch pattern for Trout almost exclusively.
I like to run 4 rods when Trolling for Trout.
My Right side is my usual spot for running a Rapala Tail Dancer as it has an action totally different to everything else, it just wiggles its butt through the water teasing the Trout into a hard strike, Most Trout I have caught on the Tail Dancer got hooked on their cheek or under the jaw, they are actually trying to attack the lure not eat it because they are hungry!
In my experience the 2-3/4 inch size is really good.
