Good for boney fish like red fish. Cuts up any fish with ease

Sometime in the 90s, got tired of cussing redfish ribs on the wood-handle Rapala and discovered an electric knife just through the ribs was the way to go. As soon as I'm through the ribs, switch back to my good sharp fillet.
A few years ago added the Rapala Li-battery fillet and love the thing. Spent hours reading reviews on every battery electric knife made by anybody before making this purchase. The motor is slow and torque-y, the long blades are the perfect shape and length, and the battery lasts amazingly - charge it up at the beginning of the year, and it's still going at the end of the year. My charger died after first use, think I may have salted it at a cleaning stand. I had to pay a bit to ship the whole thing back to Rapala for the warranty repair, but they did great, and no worries with the knife in the two years since.

I was skeptical at buying a cordless filet knife because I was worried about it having enough battery life but this in was great and I have no problems with it. Plenty of battery life to clean my catch and no wires to get in the way. Excellent purchase in my book
