I employ the Rapalla Magnum Dorado with a flat line release clip mounted low on my transom to get maximum depth of when trolling. The lure has been productive and effective as a low cost alternative to a down rigger when trolling.
Pros
  • Effective
  • Productive
  • Low Cost Alternative to a Down Rigger
Cons
  • NONE

Great looking lures

Finally got to see the Bonito color in person and it does not disappoint. Love the way these baits swim when trolling for Pelagics, they always seem to attract attention with their nice finishes and colors.

Have not tried this color in the husky but I have caught a lot of Mahi on this color in other Lures. I know that these Lures are strong and produce fish. Looking forward to putting this lure in the water.

Deep Trolling

Work great as soon as they hit the water. Got many strikes even when they were trolled with natural baits right in the same spread. Also got more hits on other baits with these in the water.

King Killer
October 22, 2017
Used these for Spring and Fall Kingfish runs and they caught plenty and kept on working. Got a few teeth marks but still produced one king after another.
Pros
  • Work right out of the box, take the abuse of the toothy kings
