Rapala DT06 Dives-To Crankbaits dive fast to a preset depth and stay in the "strike zone" longer than any than other crankbait on the market. Made from the top seven percent of balsa wood, this consistently perfect wood combined with carefully placed internal weights, tapered fuselage and thin tail design creates the ultimate crankbait action, found only in the DT family. Ultra-thin polycarbonate lip digs the bait down quickly to desired depth. Swimming with a side-to-side action only balsa crankbaits can achieve, the DT cranks deep, yet pulls with ease. Perfectly weighted to rest in a ''quick-dive'' nose down position allowing for immediate descent to desired depth, the DT can be easily cast 150 feet. Simply put, the farther the cast, the longer the bait stays in the strike zone. It's the most effective way to cover more water and catch more fish. Internal baritone rattle is tuned for best sound performance. Premiere finishes in all the right color patterns, finished with 3D holographic or painted eyes. All come with premium VMC SureSet tail hook and black nickel belly hook. Each lure is hand-tuned and tank-tested to swim perfectly right out of the box.

Rapala DT06 Dives-To Crankbaits with Custom Ink Colors by Mike Iaconelli are a masterpiece series of lures exhibiting the personal touch of artisan bass angler Mike ''Ike'' Iaconelli. Ike's personal touch involves three key traits. First, it's their purposefully muted colors. Ike used to ''bake them in the sun'' on his trucks dashboard to get that life-like, muted skin tone. The subtler colors can be unbelievably effective when bass aren't attacking conventional patterns. Next, Ike had Rapala polish the finishes like the translucent candy apple red on a '57 Chevy for a natural, pearly finish. For the third pivotal ingredient, Ike went super sparkly with glitter. Not just any glitter, but super fine sprinkles that actually add depth to the appearance of the lure. One of Ike's secrets is all about ''using something different, something unique to catch more fish.'' Ike's Custom Ink DT's are all that and more.

Hooks could be better though
February 16, 2022
Its a good lure, well made but the hooks will not last up in saltwater. Recommend changing the trebble hooks as this is a super lure in saltwater. Not to be used around heavy cover and snags but works well from a kayak or small boat for inshore pelagics and even some grouper. Recommend you create a burley trail when running the lure.
Pros
  • well made
Cons
  • Hooks could be better

Favorite Crankbait
November 23, 2021
Rapala DT in Old School color is my favorite crankbait. I use the 6, 10, and 14. Plan on picking up the 8 when it comes out. For some reason bass where I fish seem to prefer this color over others.
Pros
  • Color works for me

The Rapala DT10 crankbait has a strong vibration to it. The Big Shad color DT10 has worked very good for me on the two lakes I have tried it on

Rapala crankbait old school

Having a nice assortment of rapalas the dive 10 feet upon retrieval. When you stop retrieving, the lower floats to the surface and you can start all over again until it reaches 10 ft.
Pros
  • Having an assortment of same lures in different colors gives you a better chance of catching fish. Depending on the weather condition, weather over casted, or sunny. Fish are finick and can be made to bite with different color lures.
Cons
  • You can fast retrieve this lower it will dive to 10 ft. You can stop retrieve and it will float to the surface. Then start to retrieve all over to find the depth the Fisher hiding at.

Rapala demon crankbait
July 22, 2021
These demon crankbaits will sink ten feet in the water depending on how you retrieve it. Different colors help during different types of weather conditions.
Pros
  • Fish are finicky depending on the weather. Having different color crankbaits gives you the better chance of catching fish.
Cons
  • Better bring two identical crankbaits along for your fishing partner who says we're not leaving until I catch a fish. It's better to have more than one to keep the peace.

It's nice having different color selections in your tackle box. You'll never know what they're biting on until you get there.
Pros
  • These rapala will sink to different dephts in the water depending on the retrieve.
Cons
  • Not having the spare one for you buddy who says we're not leaving until I get to fish?
