The R&R R2 Outrigger Clips are a paired set of two mirrored port and starboard clips. These clips are great for outriggers, flat lines, kites, boat, kayak, and downrigger fishing. These clips operate much better than the traditional pinch style releases and should be attached directly to the outrigger halyard. They are perfect for lighter live baits like ballyhoo, goggle-eye and pilchard.

After having issues with other outrigger clips, changed them out with these and much smoother. They will also trip when in a sharp turn or lures are close to the boat.

Great clips with one Caveat

I love these clips. No rollers to catch the line in. Very easy to tighten and loosen the tension. Easy to install. One issue I have is that when they release (when a fish hits), there is no click noise at all. So, you lose the audible warning that the clip has let go. I still recommend the clips highly, but would love a design where the clips make a sound when a fish hits.
