Quick Rig Sea Buoy Ball Bearing Corkscrew Swivels are just the ticket for rigging dredges. These corkscrew swivels also allow for fast changing of lures or bait rigs.
Quick Rig’s Black Nickel finish is an advanced plating system that can take it all and stand up to hard use in the salt water environment. As with all of your tackle, wash with fresh water after use and wipe dry with a soft cloth. A light file across our hook point will remove the extra plating and expose a very sharp point. Just coat the bare steel with a black magic marker and go fish.

Overall I really like the product in comparison to similar products. I will love to see a two, three, or four chain ⛓ style for trolling flashers and dodgers for salmon, walleye, and trout.
Pros
  • It handle a 64 pound halibut with no problem and it didn't give out on the barn door I hooked into, my 105 pound monofilament lead gave way instead.
Cons
  • I found it to be work getting the loop of my 105 pound leader and my 120 pound swivel started on the corkscrew design because of how close the coils were together.

Hard to use
March 7, 2021
The corkscrew is way too tight to put most swivels or looped leaders I use for saltwater on. Will be fine for salmon sized gear but not halibut, tuna etc. Swivel seems good so I'll keep them for salmon but disappointed in the poor corkscrew design.
Pros
  • Good swivel
Cons
  • Poor corkscrew

Must Have!
October 8, 2019
These swivels are great to make quick changes on your spread. They are really heavy duty and made with quality.
Pros
  • Quality
Cons
  • The only con of these swivels is they can be sometimes hard to swap out rigs depending on size. If you try to force it through it can cut the line a little.

Heavy Duty Swivel

Bought these to connect shark hooks on wire leaders to wire strand or heavy mono. Allows you to quickly change out just the hook and short single strand leader.
Pros
  • Super strong

A quick and easy way to switch rigs out instead of delegating one or two rods to different species, you can change a rig just as quick with these.

Never Worry about snap swivels opening again
April 26, 2017
Great design and idea. Never have to worry about a snap swivel ever opening up on you again. Some of the heavy gauge wire or mono has a difficult time sliding around the cork screw but other than that most slides on without any issues. Quality bearings and wire and feels very well built. No cracks in the welds on the O rings. Also the wire itself is a darker shade instead of the normal bright silver wire that you often see so the color blends in with the surroundings a little better.
Pros
  • Smart design, strong components.
Cons
  • Not as fast as a snap swivel but definitely more secure.

Awesome Swivel

These swivels make my fishing a great experience. They secure hooks, rigs and lures while allowing them the freedom to execute the actions that lures are designed for.
Pros
  • Ability it interchange hooks, rigs and lures with ease.
Cons
  • depending on the size of swivel used, you may have difficulty switching out hooks etc. there are larger swivels which may add bulk and weight. The weight in my opinion is negligible but it will come down to preference.

These swivels make my fishing a great experience. They secure hooks, rigs and lures and allow them the freedom to execute the actions that lures are designed for.
Pros
  • Quick on changing our of lures and other rigs
  • More secure than the traditional clips, less chance of them failing
Cons
  • Depending on the size used, it will limit what can be slipped on and off. the amount of weight added by using a bigger swivel is negligible but it all comes down to preference

I use this type of swivel to quickly change gear on my down rigger rods, 50 lb leader to the corkscrew swivel and then a flasher and leader to salmon mooching leaders.  The leaders are 25-30 lb leaders, the spectra line I fish with is #30 Power Pro, the #50 lb mono section above the corkscrew is for the down rigger clip to snap onto.  Is a #75 lb swivel adequate or should I move up a size?
1 Answer
The 75lb Swivel will be fine.
