Is this reel appropriate fo salt water baitcasting ? 20lb test braid ?

It would be fine for lighter saltwater applications. Just make sure it gets thoroughly rinsed after each use in the salt. The bearings might not be sealed as in "saltwater" reels, so that is the weak link for this reel as far as salt use is concerned.
