I love this reel, but be careful with the drag knob it has short threads and it will fall off. I bought spare drag knobs in case this happens again.

I’ve fished my 25 for fluke, false Albies, Bonito, Spanish Macks, Blues, Stripers and even hooked a Cow Nose Ray…it’s fast, it’s strong and it’s durable. I use my quantum smoke on a 9ft. ODM DNA (20lb PP Slick) as my summer and early fall stick and it’s perfectly suited for the job. I break out the 10 ft legend with a VSX 200 for heavier work during the migration up and down the coast.
Pros
- Super fast. Perfect for Albies and blues.
- Strong. I’ve fought fish up to 30lbs with ease.
- Durable. No issues after 3 years of abuse, and I don’t baby my gear. A quick wash down after a trip and back on the rack she goes.

it's a really smooth and relatively light reel. The drag works flawlessly and the handle knob is just comfortable. Own a 2500 for inshore and it's still going strong

Buddy of mine has 3 we use for catching bait and sometimes channel cats and they have always performed for us. Quantum seems to make good spinners in my opinion from the ones i've used, and are especially good when TD has a BOGO sale.

I have always had good luck with Quantum reels, and this one is special. At 8.6 oz. I can fish with it
for hours on end. The drag is super smooth, and the retrieve is fast. All in all an awesome reel.

Got a pair fished them for a month now not a single issue other than not enough fish to satisfy this thing. Quantum is overlooked often, great quality great price.
