PowerPro Maxcuatro Microfilament Braided Line is 25% thinner than existing PowerPro lines with equivalent strength. Maxcuatro line optimizes your casting distance while increasing your reel's capacity. With 4-end lighter and softer construction made with Honeywell Spectra HT fiber, this ensures longer casting distance
Hi-Vis Yellow is designed for applications where a high visibility line is necessary. It is typical for anglers to use a short fluorocarbon leader with hi-viz lines, especially in clear waters. The angler is able to accomplish the goal of having a line that is invisible to fish that are close to the bait or lure by adding fluorocarbon. Yellow PowerPro applications range from Bobber fishing the rivers of the Great North West to Fly-lining sardines and anchovies along the California coast fishing the lakes and rivers of our Nation's central regions for bass, walleye and catfish to targeting Fluke and Stripers in the North East; pelagic fisherman looking for better spread management on the troll to inshore fisherman targeting Snook, redfish and trout. High visibility lines can be used in all applications.

Love the Maxcuatro
January 24, 2021
I purchased a few of these from Tackledirect and love how thin and strong they are. These allow for more line to be spooled onto my reels, cast smoothly, and do tie better knots. I would recommend these.

Super thin
October 29, 2020
This line is super thin allowing it to cast very far, fit more line on the reel, and cuts through the water. The line is also very strong. Make sure that you have gloves if you are going to be using heavy line.
Pros
  • strength
  • diameter
  • colors
  • casting distance

Maxcuatro braided line is outstanding
March 20, 2020
Maxquatro braided line is 25% thinner than comparable strength braided line providing more line capacity and smoother and longer casts. I have Maxcuatro line on almost all my saltwater reels. I have used Maxcuatro from 20 to 100 pounds and all the lines are great. Highly recommend.
Pros
  • Strong line and 25% thinner line to maximize line capacity and very smooth casting .... provides flexibility to use stronger line with more capacity and option to downsize reel size. Great line and highly recommended.
Cons
  • It is a little expensive but I feel worth the price.

Couldn't be happpier

Spooled my little saltwater baitcaster with this line and fit so much more on the spool than the last time i loaded it with 40#. Love the yellow line which is easy to see even at great distance so you can keep tabs on your lure if multiple people are casting. Yellow also helps during a hook up to help navigate your line around anyone else's line fishing close to you.
Pros
  • Well worth it for the extra yardage you can spool your reel with.

Use this on spinning reels to avoid wind knots.
Its slightly stiff so doesnt get caught up in wind easily.

What is the diameter of the power pro maxcuatro 65 pound test, 80 pound test and 100 pound test? Also which is best to go on a talica 25 as a bottom shot?
1 Answer
Hi Michael, The Following is from Powerpro's website: 65lb Maxcuatro has a diameter of .36mm or 0.014" inches which is comparable to 12lbmono, 80lb Maxcuatro has a diameter of .41mm or 0.016" comparable to 18lb mono, and 100lb Maxcuatro has a diameter of .43mm or 0.017" comparable to 18lb mono. All of these lines would be good choices as a braid backing onto a Talica 25. In order to help narrow down your selection please let us know what kind of fishing you are doing? and what kind of fishing application you are doing such as trolling or jigging. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.
