Got a Free spool of 130#, 606yds with the purchase of a Talica 25. Good line, hollow core good for rigging. Has a nice smooth feel to it.

What is the 130lb diameter compared to mono. I’m picking up a international 50tw for beach shark fishing and never used hollow core so trying to figure out what is best to go with. Thank you in advance

If you are using 130lb mono you can use 130lb hollow although it may be difficult to splice especially if you are new to splicing. You also could use a 200lb hollow to make the splice easier but you will lose a significant amount of capacity on your reel. Another option is 130lb hollow and use 100lb mono topshot, that way you keep capacity and make the splice easier and avoid chafing the line.

The 80# is the same or slightly smaller diameter as the 130# that will fit into the 200 hollow.

You can splice 40lb mono into 60lb Hollow core as long as the diameter of the mono leader isnt more than .032 "

Depending on how often you use the reel it is on will determine how long the line will ultimately lasts. On average you should get 2 - 3 fishing seasons out of the Power Pro Hollow Ace line.
