200 lbs hollow - great for making wind-ons
September 14, 2021
I like to 100yd spools of this stuff. I use it to make my own sword wind-ons. 300lbs Momoi xtra hard leader is what I use...and working with 200lbs hollow makes it easy to thread on.
Pros
  • 100 yd spool
Cons
  • none really

Spliceable hollow braid
May 5, 2015
Quality hollow braid, a little more challenging to splice in this size, but take your time, and it gets easier.

Can hollow ace be used to splice braid to mono or fluorocarbon? will it slip on the braid?
1 Answer
You can use many kinds of knots between mono/fluoro and braid to slice them together. The hollow ace line is no different in that regard.

If I wanted to make a 50-60 pound wind-on using seaguar fluorocarbon, which size(lbs. test) hollow ace would i need to buy?
1 Answer
Using Hollow Ace you would have to use either 40lb or 60lb braid to 50-60lb Seaguar. If you use 80lb Hollow Ace you would risk the potential of slipping between the braid and leader. So 60lb Hollow Ace would be the highest we would recommend.
