PowerPro braided Spectra fiber with Enhanced Body Technology (EBT) gives you awesome handling performance on any reel. Unlike the older style braided lines, fishing with PowerPro is as easy as fishing with monofilament. An incredibly round, smooth, and sensitive line, PowerPro doesn't bury in the spool, and casts long and smooth -- even after a hard strike. PowerPro outperforms monofilament lines in any situation and leaves other superlines in the dust.
What is the PowerPro Advantage?

PowerPro's unique composition and EBT give you a line that is:

Rounder and more compact
  • Won't bury in the spool
  • Spools and packs better on any reel
  • Picks up less water
  • Has unbelievable strength-to-size ratio

  • Structurally Superior
  • Reduces wind knots, backlashes, guide and rod tip wraps
  • Ties more easily and holds knots better
  • Near zero stretch
  • No reel memory

  • Smoother and Slicker
  • Sails effortlessly through guides
  • For longer casts
  • Won't cut guides
  • Resists abrasion by equipment or
  • Natural hazards
  • Maintains performance over time

  • 10X STRONGER THAN STEEL

    But what about...?

Older, first-generation superlines were made of abrasive aramids that could cut rod guides and take a toll on equipment. PowerPro solves these problems through super slick, non-abrasive Spectra Fiber composition and unique EBT processing. Other complaints about superlines arose simply because the technology was so new, and few people knew how to take proper advantage of it. The Using PowerPro quick guide takes the mystery out of using a superline and guarantees a satisfying fishing experience from the first cast!

How will PowerPro change the way I fish?

In addition to enhancing your enjoyment and increasing your catch, PowerPro slightly changes the way you set up for a day of fishing. PowerPro works great with any kind of reel, so you don't need any special equipment. Still, switching from mono to PowerPro is like trading your fly swatter in for a two-by-four: it takes a little care to get used to all that extra power!

Not sure why everyone likes it

Every time I cast the line snarls up and creates nasty wind knots. Its typical of braid but this stuff makes full rats nests on simple casts. I’ve lost 5 lures over the past 2 days surf fishing. I bought new power-pro to replace it because its all anyone sells and it just kept knotting up. Terrible line, does not hold its advertised strength capacity, not sure why everyone praises this stuff. It’s rough, thickly woven, not strong, and can really only be found in moss green and way over priced. Only using j-braid or suffix from now on have never had issues with them... only power-pro.

Great line. The brand Power Pro speaks for itself. This filler spool perfectly fills a Okuma Metaloid 5nii. 500 yds. of 30 lb. if you put it on tight. I used the Bees Knees line spooler witch is also a great product. Works like a charm.

    Decent Budget Line
    October 15, 2017
I bought this line on a budget and it has not given me any problems yet. I usually buy spiderwire, but this is a comparable except powerpro has a "coarse" feel to it while spiderwire is generally slicker. Other than that I havent had any line twist or wind knots, and its white so the color will not fade.
