PowerPro braided Spectra fiber with Enhanced Body Technology (EBT) gives you awesome handling performance on any reel. Unlike the older style braided lines, fishing with PowerPro is as easy as fishing with monofilament. An incredibly round, smooth, and sensitive line, PowerPro doesn't bury in the spool, and casts long and smooth -- even after a hard strike. PowerPro outperforms monofilament lines in any situation and leaves other superlines in the dust.
What is the PowerPro Advantage? PowerPro's unique composition and EBT give you a line that is: Rounder and more compact
- Won't bury in the spool
- Spools and packs better on any reel
- Picks up less water
- Has unbelievable strength-to-size ratio Structurally Superior
- Reduces wind knots, backlashes, guide and rod tip wraps
- Ties more easily and holds knots better
- Near zero stretch
- No reel memory Smoother and Slicker
- Sails effortlessly through guides
- For longer casts
- Won't cut guides
- Resists abrasion by equipment or
- Natural hazards
- Maintains performance over time 10X STRONGER THAN STEEL But what about...? Older, first-generation superlines were made of abrasive aramids that could cut rod guides and take a toll on equipment. PowerPro solves these problems through super slick, non-abrasive Spectra Fiber composition and unique EBT processing. Other complaints about superlines arose simply because the technology was so new, and few people knew how to take proper advantage of it. The Using PowerPro quick guide takes the mystery out of using a superline and guarantees a satisfying fishing experience from the first cast! How will PowerPro change the way I fish? In addition to enhancing your enjoyment and increasing your catch, PowerPro slightly changes the way you set up for a day of fishing. PowerPro works great with any kind of reel, so you don't need any special equipment. Still, switching from mono to PowerPro is like trading your fly swatter in for a two-by-four: it takes a little care to get used to all that extra power!

PP 80lb 300yds High-Vis Yellow - Great line!
February 16, 2017
I spooled my SW Stella 10000 with 80lbs Hi- Vis Yellow for a tuna fishing trip to Panama back in 2016. Long cast, no wind knots, sensitive and super strong. Handle YFT in 60-100# class with flying colors. I am going back next May 2017 and already received a spare spool of the same line for my Saragossa 200000. For braided line I only use PP for various fishing applications, fresh and saltwater, never failed me.
Pros
  • Long casts, sensitive, strong, great price for the quality of the product, the color remains truthful after many days of fishing. The Hi-Vis is a very useful option, specially on long casts. (I wish PP Spectra at some point will offer "blue color" option)

Our go to for all our poles fresh and saltwater. I will say that as of recent the colors do fade quite quickly but maybe it was just this lot.

The best braid on the market!

I’ve caught hundreds of sharks, huge alligator gar, and big catfish on this line. It last longer than any other braid I’ve tried and the diameter of this line is incredibly thin but strong!

My Go-to fishing line
February 6, 2021
This braid is thin for its capacity thus allowing farther casts and more control. The color is a great feature when fishing dawn or dusk, as well as not having to remember what line strength it is as I use different colors for different strengths - I always know my yellow is 15lbs.
Pros
  • Reliable, great cast control, visible color, durable
Cons

How I see it...
January 8, 2021
Great line. Great visibility For those times when color doesn't matter, definitely my top choice...when it's in stock.
Pros
  • High strength, high visibility, easily seen.
Cons
  • Sometimes you might want a bit more stealth in a line. Don't know if the fish see the yellow or not. For fish not line-shy.

Can I get this in blue?

The standard power pro colors only come in Moss Green, white, red, and yellow. The powerpro super slick comes in a aqua blue but only is 1500 yards.
