By utilizing new raw material blends and advanced manufacturing processes, Platypus Lo-Stretch Monofilament Fishing Line is one to not look past. With the lowest possible stretch in a monofilament, Platypus Lo-Stretch acts much like a braid but has just enough give allowing for slight shock absorption and maximum sensitivity. In addition, monofilament has better knot strength and is roughly 1/3 the price of braid.

Platypus Lo-Stretch Monofilament Fishing Line Features:

  • Thinner Than Most Monofilaments
  • Constructed Utilizing Exclusive Three-Layer Co-Polymer Nylon Monofilament
  • IGFA Class
  • Low Stretch For Added Sensitivity and Improved Lure Action

Metric Monofilament

Grabbed this mono on sale and noted the metric 6kg (13.2 freedom units) which was in between what I was looking for (10-15 lbs). Spooled up nice but some people might pick up heavier line than they're looking for being kilogram rated.
Pros
  • Nice price point and color for blue water
Cons
  • Product is listed in metric which may catch a buyer by surprise when they try to spool 328ish yards of 13.2 lbs test line with the label listing 300m @ 6kg
