I have the MH 20-50 and the H 30-80 in these rods. Incredibly impressive for a 3 pc travel rod. You can really pull on these and they have a lot of power. I use them for trips throughout Baja. Have caught numerous large fish on them including Marlin tuna dorado and big rooster fish with them and every time they impress. Nice hardsided case that will fit two of these. Only downside is the reel seat. It’s set up for large casting reels such as the Lexa or Tranx. I use Avet JX and HX. The finger grooves on the reel seat aren’t clamp friendly but it works. Also the reel seat is reversed to accommodate that style of reel and in a longer fight you tend to loosen the seat rings. I wanted to give only 4stars when I first got the rod due to the configuration of the reel seat but after pulling on them they earned the 5star. Phoenix- please make the Heavy 30-80 more available!

I paired it with an Abu Garcia 6500 Blue yonder. Casts great. Nice sensativity. Comes with hard sided carry case.
