I got the 760XH paired with an avet HX raptor. The rod seems like a good quality build and pretty light for it's size. I'll be using this setup to pull up grouper and snapper.

PAIRED WITH AN AVET JX AND SPECTRA WITH A FLOROCARBON TOPSHOT WILL WORK ON TUNA AND BIG YELLOWTAIL, HERE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, LIKE NO OTHER COMBO. BECAUSE OF THE CARBON FIBER CONSTRUCTION, IT CAN OUTPERFORM ANY GRAPHITE OR FIBERGLASS ROD. THIS HYBRID MODEL IS THE FIRST OF ITS KIND.

What model would you recommend for pairing a Talica 12II for bottom fishing and trolling (mojo's and umbrellas) in LI Sound for Stripers, Blue Fish, Black Sea Bass and Flounder?

The rod to pair with the Shimano Talica 12II, would be the Phenix Black Diamond Hybrid Offshore conventional rod PHD660XH. This combo would work well for trolling mojos and umbrella rigs and as a setup for bottom fishing with heavy weight. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
