For the most part does what it should which is protecting the rod. Outside of that does seem to run smaller.. very tight fit with the LRG on my Penn SSVI6500LL

They run small but are good for storage. Buy up a size. Not great for everyday use in transportation because you have to take the handle off the reel to use.

I keep my tackle stored in my garage where it gets a lot of dust from wood working. These covers are perfect to protect my reels and cut down on needed cleaning. They fit good albeit a little snug. The construction and stitching is first rate. Should last a lifetime. The Penn logo is an added touch to my gear.

It does a nice job protecting my Penn Torque II 7500BLS. Has a side pouch for holding the handle and anything else. I wish the cover would protect the reel with the handle on.

I wanted to protect my Penn Fierce II spinning reels and had previously purchased the covers for the conventional reels and loved them. The spinning reel covers are not as eloquent in design as those for the conventional reels. To employ the covers the cranking handles need to be removed for the cover to fit.
I would prefer not having to remove the handles. Could a design change be instituted so as not to require crank handle removal?

No, it does not fit, you will have to purchase the medium size. It would fit the standard Fierce II 2500 perfectly, but the live liner option being placed on the bottom of the reel prevents the small size reel cover from fitting the Fierce II 2500 Live Liner model.
