The Regiment is the top of the line PENN inshore rod featuring a lightweight and sensitive blended 36/30 Ton graphite blank. Using the distinctive tapered frame design of Fuji K guides, anglers will experience fewer wind knots as a result to line wrap around the guide frame. The soft yet durable rubber gimbal is used on select models providing the same function as a traditional metal gimbal without the worries of scratching or cracking the gel coat on your boat. Rubber gimbals also help ease the pain that traditional metal gimbals can put on your body while fighting a fish. Hybra-Cork grips utilize a unique blend of rubber and cork bonded to a lightweight core material that provides a more durable and sticker surface when wet or dry.
  • 100% graphite blank for incredible strength
  • Fuji K guides with Alconite inserts reduce wind knots and line from wrapping around the guide frame
  • Fuji reel seat
  • Hybra-Cork handles for incredible grip
  • Carbon fiber wrapped lead guide

Nice light/med action
July 31, 2015
I purchased this rod for light/med action surf fishing...mostly for fluke. I paired it with a Penn spinfisher and find that its the perfect combination. It is very comfortable to use and light weight. I really have no complaints.

Would a 4000 series reel fit on the 12-20 lbs rod?

Absolutely. That would be a good combo for light tackle.
